Did you know that Alpe d'Huez features the longest ski slope in Europe? The Sarenne starts at the Pic Blanc, at 3,330 metres above sea level, and ends in the Gorgres de Sarenne, at 1,510 metres above sea level. It is 16 kilometres long, with a vertical drop of 1,820 metres, and is a great skiing experience where you can ski down for thirty minutes non-stop, always enjoying the magnificent landscape. Located on the Grandes Rousses massif, Alpe d'Huez Ski Resort is related to the village resorts of Auris-en-Oisans, Huez-en-Oisans, Oz-en-Oisans, Vaujany and Villard-Reculas. Together, they form the Alpe d'Huez Ski Resort, which offers 250 kilometres of slopes for all levels, including 42 green slopes, 37 blue slopes, 39 red slopes and 17 black slopes, spread over 2,210 metres of vertical drop. Enough to satisfy the needs of ski lovers, from beginners to experienced skiers, and from the youngest to the most confirmed. In addition, no less than 92 snow guns are operating to ensure a " ski-to-door" access to Alpe d'Huez and to all the village resorts.
Moreover, to ensure that cross-country skiers are also satisafied, the resort offers a 50km Nordic skiing course! Enough to warm up the muscles and enjoy this challenging and beneficial activity.
